"In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

Matthew 5:16

"35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,

36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.

37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?

38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you?

39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’

40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’"

Matthew 25:35-40

“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father."

John 14:12 (ESV)

Mission Statement

South Beach Christian Outreach as part of The CHURCH, serving as the body of Christ, will continue the work of Jesus Christ mobilizing Christ-centered Churches by meeting the physical needs of the community.

Vision Statement

The vision of South Beach Christian Outreach is to see souls won for Jesus Christ, to continue His work to see lives transformed by lending a hand up, sharing the love of God and giving the Gospel by meeting the physical needs of the community and to see the CHURCH united, mobilized and centered on the Gospel of Jesus.

History

South Beach Christian Outreach was founded in the 1990s to help meet the needs of our local community during difficult times. The local pastors would meet for prayer, fellowship and encouragement. They would also "take turns with the checkbook" to help those in need in our local community. One of the pastors asked to take on the ministry full-time and the other churches committed to financial support. Today SBCO is still supported by local churches as well as other organizations such as The United Way, Grays Harbor Community Foundation, Coastal Harvest and more .

We have provided vouchers for food, propane and electricity as well as emergency situations that have arisen and finances have allowed. In 2018 year we changed our voucher program to an "emergency only" service. Instead of vouchers for food we are providing groceries, fresh and frozen produce and meat, Snacks, Drinks, Toiletries, Clothing and more. We are finding that our money is better spent as well as better connection with the folks who come in.

Our Volunteers (including our Staff and Board of Directors) have joined us from various churches in our community. We are gathered together to help those in need and spread the Gospel. Some of our workers are those who have been helped in the past. Quite a number have come to faith in Christ as their savior and Lord because of the love shown them.
